Car overturned after hitting carriageway

POLICE stood guard until repairs could be carried out to a lampost that was dislodged after it was hit by a car - when ended upo on its roof.

The incident happened around 10.45am today (Saturday, 5 July) after the car hit the central reservation, then the post and ended up on its roof at the junction of Feenan Highway and Brenna Road in Tilbury.

No-one was injured.
