A CAR overturned after a crash outside the Civic Amenity recycling centre on Buckingham Hill Road near Stanford-le-Hope this afternoon (Sunday, 20 September).

Essex Police say: "Two vehicle collision, no reported injuries.

"It happened on Buckingham Hill Road at about 2.15pm.

A statement from Thurrock Council around 3.20pm said: "Buckingham Hill Road is currently closed following a road traffic collision outside the Household Waste and Recycling Centre (HWRC).

"The HWRC is also closed and drivers are advised to avoid the area and follow alternative routes.

"Please allow extra time for your journey if travelling in the surrounding area."

There is no diversion available by Walton's Hall Farm which is closed because of sewer works.

At 4pm the road was open and the accident cleared away.
