Richard Jones and Get Started Art create magic for thousands of children in Thurrock.

Before his mesmerising performance as part of his 'Soldier of Illusion Tour' at the Thameside Theatre last week, renowned magician Richard Jones spent time with local Charity 'Get Started Art', to judge entries in an Arts and Crafts competition they devised.

Thousands of children from local primary schools had the opportunity to participate in a magical art competition by designing their own unique playing cards or colouring in a pre-designed printed sheet for younger children.

Over 10 Primary Schools and 2 Children's groups participated, with Hundreds of prizes awarded to Winners and Runners Up across various age groups.

Get Started Art Founder, Dave Barton commented: "It's been great working with Richard on such an exciting incentive.

"All creative art is magic, so to tie this in with the amazing things Richard does has been a lot of fun. We've already seen hundreds and hundreds of beautiful and colourful entries, and we still have hundreds more to judge!"

Richard echoed Dave's sentiments on the project, commenting: "It's been brilliant. It's been wonderful to see how much effort has been made with the Artwork, and to witness such joy in the eyes of the winners."

In a hint that the former winner of Britain's Got Talent may be making a return soon, he added: "Thank you also, to everyone who came to my show. I appreciate the kindness you've shown, and I'll see you all again next year."

Now that would be magic!!
