By Neil Speight 4th Sep 2021

A THURROCK-based charity that carries out advocacy work across South Essex, and has been recognised with a Queens Award, will be holding its annual meeting later this month.

BATIAS will host the event on Tuesday, 14 September from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at Basildon United Reformed Church, 8 Honeypot Lane, Basildon, SS14 2LQ.

The meeting will be an informal event with an opportunity to learn about the work that the charity provides and will be followed by a presentation of the Queen's Award for Voluntary Services by the Lord Lieutenant of Essex.

BATIAS is an Independent Advocacy Service that works across South Essex supporting some of society's most vulnerable people.

Its aim is to enable people to lead a full and active life that reflects personal choice; promoting inclusion in the local community and developing our client's social networks and life opportunities.

If you would like to attend and need more information, contact BATIAS via the Beehive Resource Centre, West Street, Grays, RM17 6XP or telephone 01375 389869.
