Child falls from second floor window but escapes without injury

A SMALL child appears to have escaped injury after falling from a second storey window at a property in Chafford Hundred this morning ( Friday, 28 July).

The incident is still being investigated by Essex Police and the details have been confirmed by an East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson who said: "An ambulance , two rapid response vehicles and the air ambulance attended reports that a child had fallen from a second-storey window at an address in Grenville Road, Chafford Hundred, Grays, earlier today.

"The child was assessed at the scene and had no immediately apparent injuries, and was transported by road to the Royal London Hospital, for further assessment and care."
