Child injured in collision at Chadwell road junction

A YOUNGSTER is recovering after to being rushed to hospital following a collision with a car in Chadwell St Mary yesterday evening (Monday, 31 July).

The child, of primary school age, was taken to Basildon Hospital but his injuries are reported to be not life-changing.

The incident happened shortly after 6.35pm at the junction of Brentwood Road with Sleepers Farm Road and involved a Ford Fiesta.

A police statement has called for any witnesses or someone with CCTV, dash cam or other footage to get in touch, adding: "You can let us know by submitting a report on our website where you can use our online Live Chat service available Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) between 10am-9pm.
