THE Thurrock and Brentwood Mind charity has benefitted from a number of runners who took on the challenge of the Brentwood Half Marathon at the end of March. In total they raised more than £16,000.

There was a mix of experienced runners and first-time half marathoners who called themselves the 'Cirque du Sore Legs' team. All of them worked extremely hard and battled through despite injuries and Covid-19 hampering their plans.

Michaela White, Head of Services, from Thurrock and Brentwood Mind said: "We are so proud of all the runners and can't thank them enough for their amazing efforts. The money they raised will be a tremendous help in delivering our services to the local community."
