A CLINIC in Stanford-le-Hope town centre is seeking to relocate to Corringham as it bids to expand its business.

Cedar Hall Clinic is located on Kings Parade and offers a range of treatments including osteopathy, physiotherapy, acupuncture and sports injury rehabilitation.

It has applied to Thurrock Council for planning permission for change of use to take over a vacant unit on Grover Walk in neighbouring Corringham which used to be a barbers.

In the application by Mrs Sara Lewis she says: "The unit is vacant at present and we wish to expand our business and move from Stanford to a larger site."

Jackie Smith-Milne from the clinic confirmed the proposed move but said it was only because they needed to grow and have issues with Stanford town centre, an area where there has been a lot of recent controversy over the availability and cost of parking.

She says: " We just need to expand our business No parking agenda or Stanford issues.

"We have been looking for over a year now and unfortunately there is nothing in Stanford large enough for us to develop and grow our business further."
