Community champion is honoured

A THURROCK community champion has been honoured for his efforts at a regional awards ceremony.
John Rowles was highly commended as Community Champion in the Pride of Essex awards at Anglia Ruskin University Chelmsford last night (Tuesday, 19 November).The award was for his dedication and hard work in the community of Purfleet over the past 15 years.
The award was presented by songwriter, producer and keyboard player Rick Wakeman.
