Local News by Nub News Reporter 9th Apr 2026

CONCERN has been expressed after children were spotted inside the derelict State cinema in Grays.

They appear to have gained access by a broken hoarding to the rear of the building and were spotted on its higher levels having gained access to outside areas.

Children have been spotting playing at height at the derelict State cinema.

A resident sent pictures to Nub News, which we have passed on, showing the access points.

She added: "It's all open at the back. The iron gates are open and wood has been taken down.

"It's incredibly dangerous for those children."
