A CONCERT held at Tyrells Hall Club in Little Thurrock has provided a boost for the Grays Thurrock Branch's Poppy appeal.

Local band Mondospike, which features RBL branch chairman Rod Oakley on drums, played at the club last night (Friday, 11 November) and raisied £948.96.

Mr Oakley said: "We raised £948.96 on the night. A brilliant contribution from all who purchased entry tickets, bought raffle tickets and purchased poppy merchandise on Friday.

"I would also like to thank Lee of Little Legs Disco for a full supporting evening, you did us proud.

"Lest we forget."
