Council bin teams to set out earlier as heatwave impacts on borough

THURROCK Council has announced that its waste collection teams will be making an earlier start to their work in a bid to combat the current heatwave.,
A statement from the authority says: "Owing to the hot weather, from Monday 22 June - Friday 26 June 2026 our waste crews will be starting earlier.
"This means all waste containers / bins must be out in your usual collection point by 5am, and not 6am as is usual.
"We appreciate your cooperation during this period and thank you for your understanding."
