THURROCK Council is inviting residents to join a special webinar to learn how they can access advice and support about the rising cost of living.
From 4pm to 5pm on Monday, 19 January, a Thurrock Cares webinar is being hosted to share more information about the wide range of support available to help manage the ongoing cost of living challenges.
Thurrock Cares is a campaign run in partnership by Thurrock Council, Thurrock CVS, and local Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprises.
The online event will give residents the chance to hear directly from council leaders and key partners about practical help with essentials such as food, energy bills, housing, and wellbeing. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and share your views.
Email [email protected] to sign up. You'll receive a confirmation and a link to join the webinar by 9:30am on the day of the event.
Council leader Cllr Lynn Worrall said: "Thurrock Cares is about making sure residents can access the right support when they need it most. This webinar is an opportunity to hear about the help available and ask questions directly to those providing these vital services."
The webinar will feature contributions from Cabinet Members, council officers and partners including Citizens Advice and Thurrock CVS, covering topics such as financial assistance, warm spaces, food support, and energy-saving schemes.
Alongside the webinar, residents can also access the Thurrock Cares directory, which brings together over 15 local and national organisations offering help with essentials. To download the directory, visit thurrock.gov.uk/thurrockcares
