THURROCK residents interested in starting a career as a childminder can find out more about what it entails at a free information session next month.

Thurrock Council's portfolio holder for education, says: "Childminding is a career that provides rewarding opportunities to work with children and their families. As a childminder you will be supporting children in their important early years development and providing an exciting start to their adventures in life.

"Our information session will give you the details you need to decide if childminding is right for you and what skills and qualifications are required for the role.

"With our dedicated team we can help you every step of the way, supporting you with training opportunities, guidance on how to register as a childminder and ongoing support throughout your childminding career."

The information session will take place on Microsoft Teams from 7pm to 9pm on Thursday 1 October. To express an interest in attending is asked to email [email protected].
