THURROCK Council is taking emergency action to deal with a depression that has appeared on the Manorway in Stanford-le-Hope as the carriageway links with the A13.

A workforce will be on site this week to investigate the cause and take remedial action.

All work will be completed overnight between the hours of 9pm-5am, however due to the nature of the work it is necessary for the lane closure to remain in place at all time and therefore traffic flows may be affected at peak times.

A statement from the council says: "We expect all work to be completed by 5pm on Friday, 24 May.

"We apologise in advance for any inconvenience the work may cause."
