Crash in Kent caused major congestion that backed up into Thurrock. It has now eased

A MAJOR crash in Kent on the clockwise M25 this morning caused huge tailbacks that reached over the QEII bridge and impacted on Thurrock link roads.

It happened just after 6am (Tuesday, 21 March) close tonJunction 2 and the A2.

The motorway was completely blocked in the immediate aftermath of the crash and while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Lanes were eventually reopened and by 8.30am much of the queuing had dissipated, and access to the motorway in Thurrock was clear.
