Crews battled field fire near East Tilbury

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a field fire near Princess Margaret Road, East Tilbury at 2.09pm today (Tuesday, 12 September).

On arrival crews reported there were several small fires covering an area of around 200m x 20m of heathland.

Crews used hose reel jets to get the fires under control and extinguished it by 3:50pm.

The cause of the fire could not be determined.
