Crews rushed to tackle overnight blaze that saw five lorries on fire

FIVE crews of firefighters tackled a blaze at a commercial site near Bulphan overnight which left five lorries damaged.

The alarm about the incident was raised at 1.43am this morning (Monday, 7 September) wand prompted crews from Brentwood, Orsett, Basildon and Corringham to race to the scene.

When firefighters arrived at the site on Brentwood Road they reported that at least five heavy and large goods vehicles were involved in the fire. The blaze was extinguished by 3.20am.

An investigation will be carried out to establish the cause.
