Cricket ground hit by quad bike vandals

By Neil Speight 7th Jan 2020

ROGUE quad bike riders have caused significant damage to a village cricket pitch.

The damage was discovered at Horndon on the Hill cricket ground and has angered villagers and members of the club.

A member of the club said: "Everyone that plays cricket there from the U11 to the first team pay subs every week throughout the summer to make sure they have somewhere suitable to play.

"It cost £6,000 a year just to prepare the square.

"These riders should be named and shamed if caught."
