Cross Keys Community Fund acknowledged by Mayoral Roll of Honour award
THE Cross Keys Community Fund (CKCF) has been acknowledged for its contribution to local communites by winning a place on Thurrock Council's prestigious 'Mayoral Roll of Honour.'
Borough mayor Kairen Raper, presented the Essex Masonic group with the coveted accolade after they were nominated by Cllr Mark Hooper.
CKCF Chairman David Barton said: "Barely 18 months since its inception, CKCF is now a recognised Community Asset, and its impact has touched the hearts of thousands of local residents across the borough, from community projects, to charities and children's groups to care homes and hospitals.
"The speeches from both the Mayor and Cllr Hooper were truly captivating, highlighting the remarkable achievements that had been made. Their words were not only significant but also inspiring, emphasising the importance of the community's collective effort.
"We are exceptionally thankful for this honour. We try to leave no stone unturned in pursuit of our two main objectives, which is to support local charities and community groups, and to raise the profile of Freemasonry within the local Community.
"To now be recognised by our own community is extremely humbling."
