MEMBERS of the local Policing team interacted with youngsters from Stanford-le-Hope at a recent event.

Community Safety & Engagement Officers met 1st Stanford-Le-Hope Cubs to give a 'show and tell' of Policing for Essex.

The children were shown the uniform and the different types of police equipment, including the types of hats worn, handcuffs used, batons, and tactical vests, during which the officers highlighted the importance of communication, listening and respecting others.

A statement from Essex Police says: "We wish extend our thanks to those involved, and to all the wonderful Cubs.

"If you're involved with any local youth groups and would like us to attend and give a crime prevention talk, or would just like officers to talk about general policing, please email: [email protected]."
