A YOUNG Essex police officer has spoken of his commitment to keeping a borough community safer, in the wake of a reported drop of 16 per cent in anti-social behaviour in Tilbury.

PC Curtis Price has been serving with the force for five years and says: "It's something I've always thought about doing since I was a kid. I wanted to make a difference, and now I am."

As part of the Community Policing Team for Tilbury, PC Price says he is passionate about helping to reduce anti-social behaviour in the community.

He said: "I get to go out and be proactive and target the issues that matter to people.

"Since joining the team, and working with Thurrock Council, the year-on-year figures for anti-social behaviour (ASB) in Tilbury show it has fallen by 16% (43 fewer incidents).

"We're continuing to drive home that criminality and ASB is not welcome in Tilbury."
