A YOUNG woman from Chadwell St Mary is about to be shorn of one of her most prized possessions – her hair.

Daisy Manning will be having her head shaved on her 24th birthday on 21 August in order to raise money for the MS Society.

Daisy lost her mum, Bronia, to Multiple Sclerosis several years ago and is fundraising as a tribute her.

She says: "What better way to celebrate a birthday than to raise money for charity?

"Everyone who knows me knows I love my hair. I love changing the colour of it and having different fun colours (I still stand by thinking that orange or pink was my favourite). Even if the colours went different to how I planned, I always tried to make it work.

"So that's why on my birthday (on the 21st) I'll be doing a 12 hour charity livestream over on Twitch and I'll be shaving my head.

"I made a Tiltify page for anyone who wants to donate (it'll be active for the whole month), but no pressure if you don't want to."
