STUDENTS from Gateway Academy and Harris Academy enjoyed a spectacular and stirring performance from the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

The world-renowned orchestra made the special visit to Thurrock to perform a series of orchestral concerts, exclusively for students at the schools.

For many in the audience, it was their first-time experiencing the thrill of a live orchestra, as they were introduced to numerous classic symphonies that have thrilled audiences for hundreds of years.

It was also an opportunity for them to learn how orchestras function and the key stories and themes behind each melody.

If your child is inspired to become the next Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart or Nigel Kennedy, there are several ways that Thurrock Music Services can support budding new musicians.
