Delays at junction 30. Police on scene but say it is not related to oil protests

POLICE have been dealing with an incident at Junction 30 of the M25 at Thurrock that caused traffic distruption.

It happened around midday and officers have confirmed that this is not connected to the protests that took place earlier today at the same location.

A statement issued at 12.31pm says: "We're currently responding to an incident on the M25at J30 just ahead of the QEII Bridge This is causing delays, please be patient. Traffic approaching J30 will be directed around the incident using the off slip. We remain at the scene and will update as soon as we can."

Traffic cameras at 1.10pm showed traffic moving freely in both directions.
