A DISPERSAL order will be in place in Thurrock following information about a car meet scheduled to take place this weekend.
The order is in place from 5pm on Friday, 10 October until 5pm on Sunday, 12 October.
The order has been put in place to prevent crime and disorder and prevent people living in the area being harassed, alarmed or distressed.
The residents of Thurrock report anti-social driving as one of their top concerns and ongoing issues in Thurrock.
Neighbourhood Inspector Daniel Selby, who has authorised this dispersal zone, said: " Our message is a simple one: antisocial driving has been an ongoing issue for residents and if you come to Thurrock and cause antisocial behaviour in your vehicle, you will be asked to leave.
"You may also be subject to a fixed penalty PSPO ticket (public space protection order).
"It is appropriate that we take this action on behalf of the residents of Thurrock."
The dispersal order gives officers powers to move anyone believed to be behaving anti-socially from the area.
The dispersal order covers two areas as shown in the maps.
