RESIDENTS from across Thurrock were able to access a wide range of advice and support to help them manage the rising cost of living at a free wellbeing event held in Corringham.
Corringham Library hosted the drop-in session on Wednesday, 4 February, bringing together Thurrock Council, local health organisations, and partners from the community and voluntary sector to offer practical guidance on how to navigate increasing day‑to‑day costs.
The roadshow is a collaboration between Thurrock Council, Thurrock Community and Voluntary Services (CVS) and the Stronger Together Thurrock partnership.
A range of stalls were available on the day, featuring representatives from Thurrock Council services, Thurrock Citizens Advice, Thurrock Healthwatch, Thurrock Lifestyle Solutions, Age Well East and Find Your Active Thurrock.
Over 25 people attended the session, with many being supported by multiple agencies.

Cllr Lynn Worrall, Leader of Thurrock Council, said: "There is so much support available for residents who may be finding it difficult to manage rising costs or keep their homes warm. I'm proud we were able to bring our partners together at a much‑loved community space like Corringham Library to shine a light on the fantastic funds, grants and advice on offer, and to show just how much our libraries provide for local people."
"If you were unable to make it to the event, help is still available. Make sure to visit Thurrock Cares webpages which share plenty of information around financial support, help with food and ways to lower your bills by making your home more energy efficient."
