FUNERAL details have been announced for much-loved charity fundraiser Eddy Coull who died last month.

And even in death, as in life, he will be supporting for the charity that he worked tirelessly and raised tens of thousands of pounds for, The RAF Association Wings Appeal.

Mr Coull, from Basildon, was a stalwart of the RAF Association Club on Southend Road in Grays.

He had been isolating since March after suffering a stroke from which he made a good recovery but contracted Covid-19 recently. He required hospital treatment but was released to home care but he passed away on 23 January.

His daughters Sharon and Lyn have paid their tribute to Mr Coull and have set up a fundraising page for the RAF Association in his memory – for anyone who wishes to make donations in lieu of flowers or as a memorial to his good work.

Sharon and Lyn say: "It is a tribute to our wonderful dad, who was also the best husband, dad, granddad, great granddad, father-in-law, family member and friend anyone could wish for. Dad's favourite thing was spending time with his family.

"He was so proud of his granddaughters and great grand-children and they adored him. He also loved cricket, speedway, anything to do with planes, going on holiday and a good whisky.

"He always put others first and he is much loved and will always be missed and remembered.

Mr Coull's funeral service is on Thursday ,18 March at 2.30 pm at Basildon Crematorium, Church Road, Basildon. Due to Covid restrictions, numbers are limited and only invited guests can attend. However, the service will be available to view on line.
