Emergency services dealt with incident after car left road. Occupant taken to hospital

FIREFIGHTERS, ambulance staff and police attended an incident just outside Chadwell St Mary when a vehicle left the road last evening (Monday, 7 October).

Brentwood Road was closed temporarily while emergency services dealt with the incident in which the driver of a vehicle reportedly suffered a medical condition.

A statement from Essex Fire and Rescue Service says: "We were called a road traffic collision in Brentwood Road, Chadwell St Mary yesterday at 5.33pm.

"Crews from Grays and Orsett attended and found a car had left the road.

"The driver was out of the car on arrival. Crews administered first aid and stayed with the casualty until 7.14pm, when he was taken to hospital."
