Emergency services were unable to save man found in Grays after alarm was raised

POLICE have confirmed the death of a man in the Nutberry Park area of Grays yesterday (Friday, 13 June).

After an alert was raised, residents reported considerable police activity in the area on Long Long around 7pm, supported by the ambulance service.

Police have now confirmed: "We were called to reports of a medical emergency in Long Lane, Grays, at about 7.05pm on Friday. 13 June.

"At the scene we found a man in his 40s who sadly, despite the best efforts of paramedics, was pronounced dead at the scene.

"We are not treating his death as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
