A LOCAL bus company looks to be on course for a place in the World Cup of British Bus Companies semi-final - but with a couple of hours few hours left to vote that could still change.

Thurrock Nub News told last week of how Ensign Buses are taking part in the fun online competition

set up by bus enthusiasts to gauge support for regional bus companies.

They won through to the quarter finals with a narrow win against Lothian Buses and are pitted against another Scottish company Xplore Dundee in the first quarter final, which ends at noon today.

They are currently ahead with almost 75 per cent of the vote but your support here could see them over the line.

Ensign Bus director Steve Newman says: "Thank you so much to all of you who have voted for us so far, it means a lot to us. If you haven't voted yet we would really appreciate it and why not rope your friends in too?!"
