FAMILIES and supporters of the borough's fire servce are invited to attend an open day at Corringham's fire station on Saturday.

The event will run from 10am to 4pm and there will be plenty of events taking place on the day.

You will be able to meet firefighters and have a look at the station's appliances.

The day will include a chip pan fire demonstration.

Food and drink will be available and there will be live music

Organisers are also looking for any local businesses to support the day by donating prizes for the raffle (all proceeds will be donated to the Firefighter's charity) whether it be services or physical prizes.

Parking is limited close to the fire station so visitors are asked consider alternative modes of transport or parking further away and walking.
