Firefighters free man who emerges unscathed from crash

FIREFIGHTERS freed a man this morning (Tuesday, 1 March), when his car left the road and got stuck on an embankment.

Crews from Grays were called to the incident which happened at around 10am on Stifford Hill between South Ockendon and North Stifford.

On arrival, firefighters reported that car had left the roadway and a man was trapped in his vehicle, but fortunately had no injuries.

Crews used specialist equipment to release the man by 10.18am.
