A RECENTLY formed Thurrock company is co-ordinating an effort to get computers in the hands of more local children who are unable to attend school and have to partake in online lessons.

With all schools in Thurrock closed to all but vulnerable children and those whose parents are key workers, many children are missing out because they do not have access to computers – or their parents are having to use one to work from home.

Landscape company 'And Scape' was formed in May last year by Andy Joyce and Rob Seaman and has gone from strength to strength.

The two founders and their staff would like to do what we can to support local children with their home learning over the next few months of lockdown and working with Thurrock PC Services to get any old laptops in good working order to distribute.

They are appealing to anyone with machines they do not require to donate them and And Scape will take on the job of co-ordinating and managing repairs, upgrades and distribution.

Rob says: "Please let us know if your kids or any families that you know are going to struggle to get their home learning completed because they don't have access to a PC/Laptop.

"And the same applies to anyone who would like to donate."

Rob and Andy can be connected via the company's Facebook page, email at [email protected] or by calling 07515474337.
