A LOCAL paving company has helped a Tilbury family remember and pay tribute to a popular and much-loved town resident who died aged just 26 last month.

Lauren Gardner, known to many people as Lolly, died on Wednesday, 16 June and her passing was mourned across the local community which launched a fund to help the family.

And one local company has contributed time and labour to create a memorial at her home.

Pristine Paving has created a new frontage to the family home, with Lolly's name a part of it.

A spokesperson for the firm, based in Tilbury, said: "We have created an area with stars and her name, because she was a star. Lolly's family are among the nicest people you could wish to meet and we just wanted to do something to help and to remember Lolly who was such a lovely person."
