Former pub transformed to offer Mediterranean welcome

By Nub News Reporter 3rd Feb 2025

GRAYS has a new culinary experience following the opening of 'Pasha Lounge' on Kings Walk in the town.

The Mediterranean dining experience has been created with a complete refurbishment of the former White Hart pub that closed down in 2023 and was put on the market by owners Admiral Taverns.

Ferdi Altindag and Amin Haque have taken on the premises, close to the Thames riverside, and have now opened for business.

Mr Altindag says: "Our menu brings the essence of the Mediterranean to Grays with rich, smoky charcoal-grilled meats like Adana Kofta and Lamb Shish, fresh seafood including grilled octopus and sea bass, and authentic starters such as hummus, babaghanoush, and tzatziki. We want every guest to feel the warmth of true Mediterranean hospitality."

Mr Haque added: "Pasha Lounge is more than just a restaurant—it's a place where people can come together over great food in a welcoming atmosphere.

"Our signature dishes, like Iskender Kebab and slow-cooked Kleftiko, reflect our passion for high-quality ingredients and traditional flavors. We're excited to bring this experience to Grays and the surrounding community."

The restaurant is open on Monday to Thursday: from 12 noon to 10.30pm, and noon to 11pm on Friday and Saturdays. Opening on Sunday is noon to 10pm.
