FEARS of a high tide and the threat of flooding around Coalhouse Fort in the days up to and including Friday (30 April) have been flagged up by Thurrock Council.

In a warning it says: "A high tide is forecast for Coalhouse Fort at various times throughout the week through to Friday morning.

"The car park will remain open to allow for vehicles to turn around to prevent congestion.

"The local bus service should not be affected."

You can check tide times on the Thurrock Nub News home page.
