THE latest fundraiser and fun event organised by Thurrock charity stalwart Courtney-Lee Collins has boosted local good causes.

Courtney-Lee recently organised a Catwalk Pageant called Lakeside's Catwalk Model at Thurrock Hotel.

Forty-five contestants took part in three fun rounds of wearing black and white, back to the 80's and evening wear.

Thurrock Foodbank again benefitted from the catwalk caper!

This was an event to raise funds and donations for charity and good causes.

Thurrock Mencap was presented with £657 and 1,393 food items (just under half a ton) to Thurrock Foodbank, who collected on the day.

In addition 1,448 items were delivered to Bow Lodge cat sanctuary, whose representative Sarah attended and presented awards to the three highest donors to her organisation.

A similar event is planned in October and if anyone is interested they can get in contact at [email protected].
