A MAN who used to live in Tilbury and has previously been named as a member of the notorious C17 gang has been released on bail after his latest court appearance.

Prior to him being arrested and being taken before magistrates in Basildon, police had issued an appeal for the whereabouts of Carlito Hall, 20, now said to be of Lewis Avenue, Walthamstow.

He appeared in court charged with assaulting a man in Grays on Monday, 16 December. In the wake of that incident police issued an appeal in an attempt to locate him and he was later arrested.

He pleaded not guilty in court and was granted bail, on condition that he lives and sleep each night at the address in Walthamstow until his return to court on Friday, 21 February.
