A TILBURY homeowner has been able to breath a sigh of relief after a four month wait while planning officers decided the fate of a new gym built in a back garden.

As reported on Nub News in March a retrospective application was put in for a building at 51, Stephenson Avenue that had exceeded the permitted size.

However, with some conditions imposed on the size of the roof and height of the building, officers have approved the retrospective application.

They have told the owner that there can be no further development on any part of the site without an application for planning permission.
