Get set for another T100 festival with events starting this weekend

THE twelfth annual T100 Festival begins this Saturday (23 May) across Thurrock with a free two-week programme of walks, performances, workshops and creative events exploring local stories, landscapes and communities.

Presented by Kinetika, this year's festival theme is Seeing Thurrock Differently: A Journey Home and includes events ranging from guided heritage walks and graffiti workshops to poetry in natural dye gardens, citizen science walks and a large-scale community finale event.

Highlights include:

The Thurrock Story Walk with Man About Country exploring hidden local histories

• A guided riverside graffiti walk and workshop with street artist Scotty Brave

• Family-friendly Half Term events in Kinetika's Natural Dye Garden

The Amazing Estuary Walking Show blending performance and storytelling

A Place at the Table, a free community celebration and picnic finale on 6 June

The festival is completely free and open to all ages, with events taking place across Purfleet-on-Thames, Grays, Stanford-le-Hope, East Tilbury and beyond.
