THURROCK'S Ensign Bus company recently delivered a batch of innovative Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to Basildon & Thurrock Hospital.

Despite public statements to the contrary, it appears there is little secret that the hospital has struggled to meet the challenge of providing equipment to frontline staff and many local organisations have been donating equipment of varying sorts.

Innovation has been the name of the game and that is exactly what Ensign delivered thanks to Golden Tours, a sightseeing company from London.

The gowns were welcomed by hospital staff, prompting Ensign to express its thanks to Golden Tours and added: "It's great to see these in use and working well."
