GRANGEWATERS Outdoor Education Centre will be opening its gates to visitors again after the weekend.
Activities available for people to book from Monday, 20 July will include: kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, mountain biking, archery and high ropes. Activities will be available from Monday to Saturday for as little as £9 per person, per session. The number of individuals and family groups able to participate at the centre at Buckles Lane, South Ockendon, will be reduced following Government guidance, ensuring activity safety ratios are met with instructors and attendees. Additional handwashing facilities have been installed and social distancing will be maintained at all times. Time will be provided between sessions to ensure that equipment can be cleaned and prepared by the instructors. Cllr Andrew Jefferies, Cabinet Member for Education, said: "Grangewaters has been open for educational groups since Monday 4 July and I am delighted that following Government guidance the team can welcome back family bookings for members of the public. "Thank you to our Grangewaters team who are taking every measure possible to ensure that outdoor education remains fun and engaging for our young people and families, and above all a safe environment in which they can learn, grow and achieve."
