Grays motorbike rider killed in morning crash

THIS morning's crash on an approach road to Basildon claimed the life of a Grays man.

As reported on Thurrock Nub News this morning (Saturday, 4 July) an accident happened at the junction of High Road and Staneway just before 8.40am.

A motorbike left the road and its rider, a man in his 30s from Grays, was later pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Roads in the area, including the two roads above and Dry Street, were closed for subsequent police investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has CCTV or dashcam footage that could assist police enquiries is asked to speak to the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
