AN electric vehicle charging station with 25 bays will be created on a site within the Port of Tilbury after Thurrock Council granted planning permission.

The design proposes to redevelop the site by demolishing existing buildings.

The main access to the site will be from south-east corner via and existing internal road. Clear signage will be erected to direct cars, vans and larger vehicles to their dedicated charging stations.

A comment in the project's design statement says: "It provides a clean fuel charging facility for increased vehicle traffic under major development planned under the Thames Freeport programme of work."

A full outline of the lan can be found via this link.
