THE Reengage charity held another of its tea parties for older, vulnerable and lonely people at the weekend.

There were guests from all the eight groups run by the local Reengage volunteers at the event at Stifford Clays Social Club.

Reengage regional organiser Loraine Coleman said: "Thank you so much to Julia May for letting us use their lovely hall. Thank you Maggie and Clarissa for organising this special event.

"We were entertained by our very talented volunteer Richard Gilbody and his group Standing Band who very generously donated their time to entertain us.

"We had three lovely young ladies volunteering for their Duke Of Edinburgh Bronze Award, Georgia, Laura and Emeila. Thank you so much, you all worked so hard.

"We welcomed two new volunteers, Zoe and Maxine who we are so looking forward to joining us.

"We said a very sad farewell to our lovely volunteer Pip who has volunteered with us for nine years and is moving out of the area.

"We also celebrated six birthdays and it was such a lovely, lively tea party with lots of happy faces.

"We would like to thank our very special volunteers for looking after our guests with love and care. Without these amazing volunteers these wonderful tea parties could not take place."
