RESIDENTS in Tilbury are being urged to contribute to the consultation about how to best spend money that has been made available to regenerate the town.

Around £25 million has already been allocated to the town from the government's Towns Fund pot to help improve infrastructure, drive economic growth, and increase job opportunities.

It is one of just 101 places to benefit from the fund and the money could potentially rise to £50 million.

A Town Board has been set up to bring together all the good ideas and then implement investment that will deliver legacy projects.

Chaired by Peter Ward, Commercial Director for the Port of Tilbury, Tilbury Town Board consists of local businesses and community partners including Creative People and Places Partnership, One Community Development Trust and Thurrock MP, Jackie Doyle-Price.

You can contribute to the consultation via this short survey the board has set up
