PLANNING officers have not been swayed by a second bid to build an infill home in Tilbury.

In March Thurrock Nub News reported on a second application to build a dwelling on Feenan Highway, which the applicants hoped would impress planners because of its new design.

However, their hopes have been dashed.

Officers have ruled out the new build at 101 Feenan Highway, saying: "The proposed dwelling, would, by reason of its siting and design result in the loss of some of the characteristic gap and separation along Feenan Highway and lead to an awkward relationship with No.99A.

"This would result in in an incongruous feature which would adversely impact upon the street scene and the general character of the area."

They were also critical of the design.

Full details of the application and the officers' decision can be found via this link.
