ENGINEERS have spent the morning working to resolve a power outage in Chadwell St Mary this morning (Thursday, 1O October).

Around 50 properties around the junction of Chadwell Hill, Linford Road, Brentwood Road and Riverview were affected from around mid morning.

UK Power Networks said: "A fault has occurred on an underground electricity cable affecting the local area, we may have to dig up the road to carry out repairs."

The company said it was hoped to restore power to all homes and businesses by 2pm.
