Horndon Feast and Fayre is cancelled

By Neil Speight 22nd Mar 2020

THE organisers of this year's Hordon on the Hill Feast and Fayre have announced that it has been cancelled.

The popular two day event, due to run on 27 and 28 June this year is a hugely popular local event including an always full-subscribed 10K and though it falls outside the currently expected period of significant social distancing, organisers felt a decision had to be made as early as possible.

Village stalwart Kim Towlson says: "It is with great sadness that I have to write the the 2020 Horndon Feast & Fayre is cancelled. We all know the reasons why we have had to take this decision but I would just like to add that we will be working towards the 2021 event and all that is required, for example the "theme" as a starter.

"Finally, the Committee and I, would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your participation and support with this event over the years.

"Please keep safe and well during the current emergency period."
